Taryn Wenske is a contemporary artist based out of Lockhart, TX. In recent works, Wenske has leaned into romantic daydreams to create whimsical paintings that evoke a sense of time and place... or lack thereof. You will find repetitive use and the evolution of moody floral motifs that feel both familiar and from another lifetime.

A lifetime Texan, Wenske has traditionally pulled inspiration from colors and textures of the west. Older works are primarily abstract expressionism and landscapes. Using intuition and repetition to create earthy depth in her work, Wenske hopes to bring a sense of grounded peace to the viewer.
