For The Days We Feel is a part of a small collection completed in early 2023 that evokes a sense a depth through layers of color that shift subtly and dynamically across the canvas. Acrylic paint, oil pastels, and charcoal are used to create this colorscape that acts almost as an earthy opal. Warm tones are brought to the forefront in afternoon rays, while soft morning light brings out the cool tones to this expressional gem. Streaky charcoal and graphite are meant to draw out something soft and moody from this neutrally colorful piece.
Open hands, ready to release all the weight of creativity and stability and desire. Ready to allow that flow through and not suppress it. Allowing those emotions to heighten and level out and let them go completely. It isn't every day we can feel everything - god that'd be exhausting. But sometimes, on sunny afternoons, we let every warm breath fill our lungs and minds and hearts. This is for the days we feel.
